This can only mean that there is more marketing power in MMS going forward and the “rumours of its death are grossley over exagerated” – and why shouldn’t it. Everybody has a smart phone now and MMS works on all smartphones, so in 2021 its abilty to each all handsets it is up there with SMS. But, you can do a lot more with MMS, video, gif, sound, VCARD Contacts, upto 1000 characters of text.
Also, lets not forget that SMS is a SPAMMER and Phishing paradise at the moment, MMS is too epensive to SPAM, and using branding and corporate messaging in your messaging builds trust. Am not saying that every text message should be an MMS, but maybe every 4th or 5th.
